In my opinion, there is urgency in both films. However in the one of the films, the present situation is being gotten better, but there is a great effort to be escaped from it in the other film. ‘Angele’s Ashes’ is about the difficulties of life. They tried to cope with the poverty and the starvation. They struggled to survive. On the other hand, ‘ The Miracle Worker’ is about making effort to be successful. Helen was a girl who suffers from blind and deaf and her parents made her to get education from the half-blind teacher. After great efforts Helen could learn and seize somethings. Thus, her parents were very happy. ‘Angele’s Ashes’ is closer life than ‘The Miracle Worker’. Because there is a lot of examples of people who copes with the starvation and lacks. Finally, I felt sorry in both films.
